What is included

13 items in the price; hosting and domain go to the provider

Code and speed

  • We write the site ourselves, in code on Next.js, rather than putting it together in a website builder like Tilda
  • Google's speed test on a phone: 90 out of 100 or more in each of three runs in a row. If it falls short because of us, we keep working for free and do not hand it over until it reaches 90. On launch day we test again, this time on your address: that result goes into the acceptance certificate. Third-party widgets, such as booking, maps or chat, slow a site down. If you chose them, we tell you before the contract what score we promise
  • The site is easy to view on any screen: from a small phone (320 pixels wide) to a large monitor (1920 pixels)

Leads and analytics

  • Every lead goes to Telegram and email
  • We connect GA4 and Yandex Metrica, the site analytics services. You see how many leads came in and from where: ads, social networks or search. Run an ad and you will see whether it brings leads from the site. Only visitors who allowed analytics in the cookie window at the bottom of the site are counted
  • We get the site ready for search. We add behind-the-scenes descriptions for search engines (schema.org) and for AI assistants (llms.txt). And a preview, a picture with a title that shows up when someone sends a link to the site in a messenger (OG). We do not promise a place in search results

Site files and passwords are yours

  • We hand over the source code: all the files your site, admin panel and app are built from. With them you can change the site and move to another developer without us. Everything we made specifically for you, the code, the style drawn for you and our texts, becomes yours on the day you pay the full price. Until then you can use the site for free. If the final payment is more than 30 days late, we send a reminder; if there is still no payment 10 working days later, this right ends. Part of the site comes from our own ready-made work shared across all our projects: the admin panel, the section where you change texts, photos and prices yourself, modules, that is, ready program blocks, templates of our demos and ready-made styles. They stay ours, but you get the right to use them in your site for free and with no time limit: to change them, hand the code to another developer and pass this right on to a new owner of the site. We list this ready-made work in the acceptance certificate
  • We set up the domain, a secure connection (SSL) and hosting and hand them over to you. You pay for the domain and hosting directly: the hosting provider monthly, the domain registrar once a year. Paid services, such as an online booking service, are also on you. Before the contract we work out what that comes to for you per year
  • A cookie notice, a message telling visitors that the site remembers their actions, and the texts required by data protection law: a privacy policy and the consent a customer gives when sending a request. We prepare the texts with you, and you publish them as the site owner: you collect your customers' data, and the law holds you responsible
  • An admin panel, where you change texts, photos and prices yourself, and add or remove items: dishes, services, doctors. A guide and a screencast: how to work in the admin panel and read leads and analytics

Peace of mind

  • Three rounds of revisions included. A round is all your comments in one list, and we make all of it. Revisions are texts, photos, the color of individual blocks and buttons, the order of blocks; new pages, features and a whole new style are separate work
  • A one-year warranty from the day you accepted the work and signed the acceptance certificate. All year we fix for free anything that broke through our fault or does not work the way the contract says. The most urgent breakdown is when through our fault the site does not open or leads do not arrive. We take it on first, before all our other work. In our first reply to your message we name the day it will be fixed, and you confirm it or suggest your own; the same goes for other bugs. The warranty does not cover outages at the hosting provider, the company whose server the site runs on, failures of third-party services such as Telegram or a booking service, or breakdowns after you or other people changed the site's code. Such repairs cost $90 an hour: we first show you the cause of the breakdown, then name the total, never charge more than that and start only if you agree. If finding the cause takes more than an hour, we name its price in advance too and start after you agree. Texts and photos you change through the admin panel, the section of the site where you edit texts, photos and prices yourself, do not void the warranty.
  • The deadline goes into the contract. If we are late through our fault, we cut the price by 2% for each day of delay, 20% at most. That amount comes off the final payment. It is calculated from the price you pay under the contract, options included

Options

How the work goes

Before the start

  • Materials

Before the contract we send a list of what the main screen of the service needs, the screen a user sees first: a logo, photos, texts. The rest, texts and images for the other screens, comes by the dates in the contract: the full list will be there. If you are late with them, the delivery date moves by the same number of days, with no penalties for you.

  • Prepayment and start date

The contract sets a start date: the day we have time free for your order. You pay the prepayment, 30% of the price in the contract ($600 on a $2,000 price), within 3 working days after signing the contract. By the start date you send your answers to the questionnaire and the materials for the main screen, the screen a user sees first. Late with the prepayment, the questionnaire or the materials? The work waits, and we agree on a new start date with you. The prepayment is not lost: it counts toward the payment. The new date does not suit you? Until you pick a style, you can cancel, and within 10 working days we refund the whole prepayment.

  • Choosing a style

A style is how the service looks: colors, fonts, the shape of buttons and blocks. The contract sets a start date: the day we have time free for your order. By that date we need three things: the prepayment, your answers to the questionnaire about your business and the materials for the styles, your logo and brand colors if you have them. Late with the prepayment, the questionnaire or the materials? The work waits, and we agree on a new start date with you. Once everything is in, within 2 working days after the start date we show the main screen of the service in three different styles. For example, if the start date is a Monday, we show the styles by Wednesday. None of them fit? 2 working days after your reply we show three more. None of those fit either? You can take a ready-made style or close the contract, and then we refund the whole prepayment within 10 working days. You can also take a ready-made style right away: one of the five styles of this site (the “Style” button switches them). Another client may pick a ready-made style too, but a style you pick from the ones drawn for you is yours alone.

  • If you change your mind

Changed your mind before picking a style? Email us, and within 10 working days we refund the whole prepayment. Changed your mind later? You pay only for the work done, at $90 for each hour of our work. Within 3 working days after your email we send a list: what was done, how many hours it took and what it costs. The list also includes the time spent on the style options we drew for you, and once paid for, they are yours too. Even if the hours add up, you pay no more than 70% of the contract price of the service, without a logo for the work done until we have made your second list of changes, that is, the second round of edits. After the second round, no more than 90%. For example, with a price of $2,000: no more than $1,400 before the second round and no more than $1,800 after. Payments you have made count: paid more than the work done costs? We return the extra within 10 working days. Paid less? You pay the rest, also within 10 working days. Once the work done is paid for, the rights to it pass to you, and within 3 working days we hand over everything we have done.

  • Deadlines in the contract

The contract sets two dates. The first is when we show the styles, the options for how the service looks: within 2 working days after the start date. The second is the deadline for the service: it runs from the day you pick a style, and the days for showing the styles do not count toward it. A delay in showing the styles does not lower the price, but until you pick a style you can cancel and get the whole prepayment back within 10 working days. If through our fault we hand over the service after the deadline, you pay less. The price goes down by 2% for each day of delay, weekends and public holidays included. In total it goes down by no more than 20%, even if we are more than 10 days late. We count the percentage from the price of the service in the contract including options, paid extras such as online payment. A logo in the same contract is not included. We take this amount off the final payment: you simply pay less. For example, with a price of $2,000, being 2 days late means $80 off, and 10 days or more means $400 off.

  • When the clock stops

We pause the clock while we wait for your reply, materials or payment: the delivery date moves by the same number of days, with no penalties for you. Asked for something that is not in the contract, such as a new feature? First we name the price and the new deadline; neither changes without your consent. A round of edits is your list of comments, and we make all of it. If the list holds so much work that we cannot make the delivery date, we tell you before we start how many days the deadline moves and what in the list takes the most time: you can drop it or, if you still have rounds left, move it to the next one, and then the deadline stays. Those days do not count as a delay, and the price does not go down for them. If we are late through our fault, the price goes down, as in the “Deadlines in the contract” card on this page. If the service loads slowly and we work on it until Google's speed test gives it 90 points out of 100, those days count toward the deadline too: late because of that work? The price goes down too.

  • If we hear nothing for a long time

If for 30 days in a row you do not answer our question or do not make a payment, we may close the contract by sending you an email. Closed before you pick a style? We refund the whole prepayment. Closed later? We settle up as in the “If you change your mind” card on this page: you pay only for the work done, at $90 for each hour of our work.

  1. 01Before the start

The task, the first version and choosing a style

Before the start we talk: you tell us what the service should do, and together we decide what goes into the first version. In reply we send the estimate (the price item by item), the deadline and a draft contract. After the start date in the contract we show the main screen of the service in three styles, you pick one, and from that day the deadline runs.

  2. 02Weeks 1–4

Design and how the service works

We draw the account screens, work out what data the service stores and list its connections to other services: payments, a customer database (CRM), email. If the list includes something that is not in the estimate, we name the price first; it does not change without your consent. You send your comments in one list: that is the first of three rounds of revisions.

  3. 03Weeks 4–9

We build the service in parts

We build the service in parts: sign-in, user accounts, payments, connections to other services and analytics. We show interim versions on a temporary link. You send the second list of comments. We make them, and then you make the second payment of 40%.

  4. 04Weeks 9–10

    Testing and launch

We make your third and final list of comments. We check the whole user journey: sign-in, account, payment. We launch the service and test the speed with Google's test; the result goes with the acceptance certificate. We hand over the passwords and the source code, the files the service is built from. You sign the certificate and pay the final 30%. Then comes a one-year warranty.

Warranty after launch

  • Speed

Before handover we check how fast the service opens on a phone with Google's test on the pages listed in the contract: we run it three times in a row, and each time it needs 90 out of 100 or more. We attach the result to the acceptance certificate, the document that confirms the work is accepted. Below 90 because of our code or the way we set up the hosting, the server the website runs on? We fix it for free and do not hand over the work until it reaches 90. If the cause is not on our side, such as a hosting outage or code you added yourself, we show it to you: we send the test reports, the pages with the test results, and write the cause into the certificate. Disagree with the cause? Reply to the email with the certificate within 10 working days, and we sort it out before it is signed. No reply within 10 working days means the work is accepted. A domain is the site's address on the internet, like mrshkn.com. If after the third round of edits you cannot give us access to it for more than 10 working days, we hand over the work on a temporary link, our test address. Once access appears, we move the service to your address at no extra cost, test the speed there and, if needed, improve it under the warranty. A third-party widget, a window from another service such as a chat or a map, slows pages down. If you asked for one, we tell you before the contract what score we promise with it; if you ask later, we tell you before we add it. We test the pages that open without signing in: the home page, sign-in and sign-up. Google's test cannot open accounts behind a password.

  • Acceptance

We email you the acceptance certificate, a document saying the work is accepted. Within 10 working days, sign it or tell us what does not work the way the contract says. We fix that at no extra charge within 5 working days and send the certificate again; wishes that are not in the contract are not a reason not to sign. No reply within 10 working days? The work counts as accepted, as if you had signed: the warranty starts that day, and it is time to pay the final 30%.

  • A one-year warranty

For a year from the day you signed the acceptance certificate, the document that confirms the work is accepted, we fix for free anything that broke through our fault or does not work the way the contract says: for example, payments fail because of a bug in our code, or the speed drops below 90 points because of our code. If we believe a breakdown is not our fault, we first show you the cause, what broke and why, and only then name the price of the repair; we start only if you agree. If finding the cause takes more than an hour, we name its price in advance too and start after you agree. More in the “If it is not our fault” card on this page. Texts and photos you change in the admin panel, the section for your own edits, do not void the warranty.

  • How fast we fix things

Message us on Telegram or by email; the contacts are in the contract. The most urgent breakdown is when through our fault the service does not open. We take it on first, before all our other work. In our first reply to your message we name the day it will be fixed, and you confirm it or suggest your own. Other bugs that are our fault we also fix for free all through the warranty year, and we name the timing the same way, in our first reply.

  • If it is not our fault

Not our fault means, for example, that another developer changed the code of the service, a third-party service (a payment service, a CRM, email) broke or changed its rules, or the hosting provider, the company the service's server is rented from, had an outage. We fix such things for a separate fee: $90 an hour. We first name the total, never charge more than that, and start the repair only if you agree.

  • Updates and backups

The software the service runs on is updated by its authors from time to time. Planned updates and backups, snapshots of the service with all its data, are part of support: a separate monthly fee, optional. A dangerous vulnerability is another matter: a weak spot found in the software that someone could use to break into the service. We close such spots for free all through the warranty year, even if you did not take support. A dangerous one is one the software's authors themselves have marked as dangerous. Heard about one? Write to us, and we close it for free. Without support we do not track such news ourselves. The warranty does not depend on support: we fix bugs in our code for free all year without it. But without support we do not make backups. After a failure we rebuild the service from the code: free if the failure is our fault, $90 an hour if it is the hosting's. Whatever appeared after launch, user accounts, their data and the payment records in the service, may be lost. With support we restore the service from a backup, and that is part of the monthly fee.

Questions

What is an MVP in your plan?

An MVP is the first working version of your service, with only the essentials. Users sign in with a login and password, and each has their own account. People can pay in the service, it is connected to the other services you need, and it collects statistics. With this version you can test the idea with real users.

Why does it take 6–10 weeks?

The deadline depends on how many different kinds of user accounts the service has (for example, for customers and for staff) and how many connections to other services it needs. We put the exact deadline in the contract once we discuss your task.

Who owns the code?

You. The code we wrote for you becomes yours on the day you pay the full price. Part of the service we build from our own ready-made modules, program blocks shared across all our projects. They stay ours, but you get the right to use them in your service for free and with no time limit: to change them and hand them to another developer together with the code of the service. We hand over the source code, all the files the service is built from, together with the passwords. With it you can change the service and move to another developer without us.

What happens after launch?

For a year from the day of acceptance we fix for free anything that broke through our fault or does not work the way the contract says. Looking after the server, making backups and updating software is support, and you can add it right after launch. Or a Dev subscription: $3,500 a month, we work through your tasks one at a time, with no limit on the number of tasks.
